Courant Asset Management was founded in 1999 as a trading group that invested its own capital using statistical and quantitative models for trading with highly liquid stocks at the NYSE and NASDAQ.
Since the launch of Courant Trading Technologies in 2007 we have been creating and developing our own investment models, trading algorithms and programs, connected to the interface of Interactive Brokers LLC platform - one of the leading market makers on global stock and option exchanges.
Today Courant is a systematic equity long/short fund employing a broad diversified strategy across exchanges, sectors and stocks. The fund trades the most liquid US equities and is specialized in quantitative statistical strategies with high level of discipline and continuity of positions management. Our annualized compound return ranked us number 7 by the Barclay Managed Fund Report.
We strongly believe that there is no such thing as good or bad idea. Anything can be good depending on the price and on time and can be bad under other circumstances.
Standing on this philosophy, our main goals are to provide investors with net returns averaging more than 15% per year regardless of market conditions and to ensure steady growth of fund’s capital irrespective of the trends in the stock and bond markets.
